Santa Fe Engineering & Consulting Services, L.L.C. (Santa Fe ECS) is a U.S.-based engineering services company that designs innovative gearing systems.
We help our customers develop machines and products that improve the world, whether it’s saving lives with unmanned vehicles that detect landmines, designing mechanical transmissions with less energy consumption, gear systems with longer lifetimes that help the sustainability of the planet, and so on.
From the simplest to the most advanced projects, Santa Fe ECS offers a full range of calculation and design services for customized gears, drive shafts, gearboxes and special mechanical transmission systems according to customer requirements.
The consulting area is oriented to companies that need an experienced industrial advisor to help and guide them to implement improvements in new machines.

Who we are
Our origins date back 30 years ago when we started working in the automotive industry, machine tools, ceramic pavement factories, etc., in machinery automation projects, programming of programmable automats, industrial software, positioning systems for motion control, data collection in plant, drive trains calculation in production lines and many others.
This wealth of experience combining mechanics and electronics gives us the perfect overview to tackle innovative, high-performance gear system design projects.

What we do
We calculate and design gears for parallel shaft gearboxes, planetary gearboxes, turbo planetary gearboxes, high speed gearboxes, differential gearboxes, speed multipliers, bearing rings with internal or external gearing, transmission shafts, and many others. We work with the main standards, such as AGMA, ISO, JIS,…etc.
In consulting we advise companies with very diverse needs to improve their business. We strive to provide you with ideas that work and documentation so that you can manufacture with total peace of mind.
What don’t we do
We are a purely engineering and consulting company. We do not manufacture prototypes, parts or equipment resulting from our projects. We are not an industrial supply company. Let’s say we are the architects who design your house, for you to enjoy for many years to come, but we do not build your house.
How we do it
Everything starts with a sketch or an idea from the customer.
If the client considers that we are going to develop a research project for the development of an innovative product, the first thing we do is to ensure the protection of intellectual property, for us this is very important. Therefore, we will be happy to sign a confidentiality agreement with the customer before receiving any information about his project.
The second thing we do is to listen to the client and take the necessary data to know the scope of the project, objectives, technical limitations and of course its economic constraints.
Third, if we conclude that the project is feasible, we show the client the challenges to be overcome, a simple risk analysis and a project budget. If the project is accepted by the customer, we implement the protocol that we apply to all engineering projects.
In all phases of the project, we maintain direct communication with the customer, which allows us to collaborate side by side to adjust the project to their requirements.
Finally, we deliver the drafting of the project with detailed drawings so that the customer can manufacture his product.
If the customer wishes, we can accompany him in the follow-up of the manufacturing of the first prototypes, evaluating the quality of the materials, finishes, assembly process, tests, performance, etc.

We have carried out engineering and consulting projects for the food, aeronautics, automotive, chemical, heavy machinery, machine tool, pharmaceutical, robotics, marine, renewable energy, and many other industries.
Independent company
We are a totally independent company. We are not part of any group of companies, we are not a subsidiary company that depends on a parent company. We make decisions impartially without being tied to any commercial relationship with companies in the sector.
One of the reasons why our customers trust us is precisely because we have full autonomy and our decisions are independent. This level of autonomy allows us to respond quickly to changes and adapt our business strategy.

We focus our efforts on the continuous improvement of the calculation, design and project drafting processes, paying special attention to preventive action. We share our improvement objectives with our clients and suppliers, transmitting at all times our creativity and innovative ideas to the people involved in the project.
c) Improvements that are applied based on risk and opportunity analysis.
A risk analysis does not prevent unforeseen events from happening, but it allows us to make a prevention plan, to be agile when they do happen and to be more confident in the decisions we must make at the right time. As project managers, risk analysis helps us to take the appropriate corrective measures to make the final project a success.
In the whole management process we follow the ISO-9001-2025 standard. Following the advice of quality management experts, we decided not to certify the company, since according to ISO-9001-2025, “a company can apply the standards for its internal and external benefits without undertaking the certification process” and further on it says that “certification is not mandatory” and that “experience says that expectations of improvement in a company’s performance after ISO-9001 certification may be unfounded”.

We have decanters to separate the water from the sludge, which operate 24/7. We spend between US$ 30,000 and 40,000 each year. on new differential gearboxes because the breakdowns were too expensive and not worth repairing.
