Robots have become an almost indispensable part of our life. Gears are fundamental mechanical elements that are used to reduce servomotor speed, increase torque, change the direction of rotation, and so on.

 

In robotics, the most commonly used mechanical transmission is the precision planetary gearbox, consisting of a sun gear and 3, 4, 5 or 6 satellites that transmit the power to the output shaft through a ring gear.

 

We have extensive experience in the calculation and design of gears for precision planetary gearboxes for the robotics industry. We select the best alloy steels, the optimum heat treatment and define the grinding process.
